  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Marketing Officer to join our team. The right candidate will be methodical, creative, highly organized, efficient and process focused, collaborative, agile, have strong communication skillsand impeccable integrity.

Marketing Officer Key responsibilities

  • Work with the Sales team to create and implement marketing campaigns across all areas of Uzima Chicken’s work
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth.
  • Analyze market trends and success of marketing campaigns, create reports and implement improvements as needed.
  • Deliver audience focused social media content using effective scheduling, monitoring and evaluation tools and ensuring best practice.
  • Provide editorial guidance, editing and proof reading to ensure all external content is in line with Uzima Chicken’s brand guidelines.
  • Benchmark Uzima Chicken’s communications and marketing activities against competitors and their impact on the market.
  • Assist with product development and pricing strategies
  • Build Uzima Chicken’s brand identity in Kenya.
  • Work closely with partner organizations to deliver collaborative digital content and campaigns based on audience need.
  • Work with the field team to plan and coordinate training days, farmer field events, and promotional activities in rural areas.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and provide marketing materials to agents, distributors, and Agro-vet partners.

Marketing Officer Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Agribusiness, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the agricultural industry.
  • Strong understanding of rural and peri-urban markets in Kenya.
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media, and content development.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the country, especially to rural and farming communities.
  • A passion for agriculture, rural development, and farmer empowerment.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on metrics and performance management.
  • The ability to work with cross-cultural and cross-functional teams, adapting to an ever-changing environment
