Chef at Kipchimatt Supermarket. The Kipchimchim Group manages a diverse portfolio of over 20 companies in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Wholesale and Distribution, Logistics, Warehousing, Retail, Supermarkets, Mining, and Construction. Starting with a small retail kiosk in Kericho, Kenya, we have expanded to operate several retail stores as Kipchimatt Supermarket and serve bulk buyers through Kipchimchim Wholesalers. We achieved our success because of how successfully we integrate with our clients. One complaint many people have about consultants is that they can be disruptive. Our clients face no such issues.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present dishes with attention to detail and quality.
- Quality Control Ensure all dishes meet high standards of taste, presentation and consistency.
- Menu Improvement Assist in creating new new dishes and seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant’s style and vision
- Health and Safety Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Team Leadership Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
Requirements
- Diploma in Hospitality management or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a restaurant manager or a similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in restaurant management software eg, POS systems ,scheduling tools
- Knowledge of food safety and health standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
