POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting the administrative operations at the Beacon Technical Training Institute. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring professional reception and assistance.
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to departmental staff, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Support procurement processes, manage office inventory, and ensure prudent use of supplies.
  • Assist students with general inquiries and document handling.
  • Organize and support departmental meetings and events.
  • Maintain accurate records, including financial and student-related data.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting the finance department in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Beacon of Hope school and Technical Training Institute. The incumbent will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and institutional policies. This position plays a critical role in promoting transparency, accountability, and financial efficiency, while aligning with the broader strategic goals and educational mission of BOH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit monthly financial and petty cash reports.
  • Reconcile and maintain petty cash systems for various departments.
  • Generate bi-weekly sales reports from the Hospitality Department.
  • Invoice and receipt student payments through the Student Management Information System (SMIS).
  • Compile departmental requisitions and follow up with the main account’s office.
  • Assist in internal and external audit preparations.
  • Support compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Higher Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

JOB PURPOSE

To provide essential support in the daily operations of the college library by assisting in the organization, circulation, and maintenance of learning resources. The Library Assistant fosters a conducive learning environment by helping students and staff access information efficiently, promoting literacy and research skills, and ensuring the library remains a well-managed, welcoming space aligned with the institution’s academic goals.

 Key Responsibilities

R1. Library Operations Support

  • Assist in organizing, shelving, cataloguing, and classifying library materials.
  • Manage circulation services including lending, returning, and renewing of books.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness within the library space.

R2. User Assistance

  • Help students and staff locate and use library resources effectively.
  • Provide front-desk support and answer basic user queries.
  • Guide users in the use of digital resources and library equipment.

R3. Resource Handling & Maintenance

  • Support in updating inventory records of books, journals, and other materials.
  • Assist in labeling, covering, repairing, or withdrawing damaged or outdated materials.

This position is responsible for leading business growth, client retention, and strategic relationship management efforts by onboarding insurance and corporate clients, supporting credit control, and expanding access to Beacon of Hope Hospital’s services. The Officer will spearhead marketing initiatives, oversee insurance partnerships, and collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and revenue optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

R1. Business Development & Marketing

  • Identify and engage new corporate, institutional, and insurance clients (e.g. schools, NGOs, companies).
  • Represent the hospital in exhibitions, wellness days, stakeholder forums, and strategic networking events.
  • Promote hospital services to both insured and self-pay clients through outreach activities and direct engagement.
  • Develop and implement campaigns aligned with hospital strategic goals.
  • Produce tailored marketing materials (brochures, presentations, digital content).

R2. Insurance & Corporate Onboarding

  • Initiate onboarding of insurance companies and corporate clients, ensuring documentation and contracts are executed.
  • Coordinate with billing and clinical teams for smooth service provision and client setup.
  • Manage communication and compliance with partner organizations.

R3. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary contact for insurance and corporate clients.
  • Resolve complaints, collect feedback, and ensure positive service experiences.
  • Schedule client reviews and maintain strong rapport with stakeholders (HR teams, wellness units, etc.).

R4. Credit Control Support

  • Liaise with the Accounts Office to follow up on payments, claims, and rejections.

R5. Reporting & Strategy

  • Prepare monthly reports on acquisitions, revenue performance, feedback, and market trends.
