Our client is an established global trading, logistics and distribution company. They seek to hire an outgoing and dynamic Supply Chain Manager. In this position, you will oversee and optimise the end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products within the Company. Your strategic leadership will be vital in enhancing supply chain processes, managing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the company’s competitiveness, efficiency, and ability to meet customer demands, requiring a proactive and strategic approach to supply chain management.

Supply Chain Cost Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and 3PL logistics development.
  • Prepare detailed cost analysis reports covering all supply chain activities, including incoming shipments, storage, and distribution.
  • Regularly review and negotiate current supplier costs.
  • Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all transport partners, ensuring accountability and performance standards.
  • Manage contracts for all existing transport partners, and promptly address any arising gaps/challenges.
  • Maintain safety and compliance in all the warehouses as per the relevant authorities

Operational Control

  • Develop and oversee weekly schedules for the warehouse activities and ensure efficient team coordination.
  • Maintain stock variance accuracy at a minimum of 99.9% at all times and accuracy in stock figures.
  • Ensure all damaged goods are kept in a saleable condition and provide weekly reports on damages.
  • Maintain real-time updates of bin cards following all loading and offloading activities.
  • Ensure 100% product labelling compliance upon receipt, including MSDS, COA, bin cards, and MKE labels.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure optimal offloading/loading times per Truck/FCL.
  • Improve reporting timelines for offloading activities and reduce delays in stacking and put-away processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in warehouse operations and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a similar industry.
  • A business-oriented Mindset with a Hands-On Approach focused on developing and managing relationships with 3PL providers.
  • Impecable integrity record
  • Capable of understanding the need for continuous supply chain improvement to be competitive and able to optimize supply chain operations for efficiency and cost-saving.
  • Capable of calculating and exploring new business development opportunities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within warehouse environments.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, including the capacity to manage and develop high-performing teams. Proven ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.
