Job Description

Gross Salary: KES 100,000 – 140,000 + commissions

Our client, a leading logistics solutions provider, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. The Senior Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business growth and building strong, lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Identify business opportunities by analyzing industry trends, evaluating prospects, and researching potential sales leads.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key partners, clients, and prospects within assigned accounts.
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring timely resolution of client inquiries and issues.
  • Drive sales by establishing contact with prospects, building relationships, and recommending tailored solutions.
  • Proactively follow up on all leads, requests, and quotes to secure business.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure that all client queries are resolved promptly with 0% unresolved cases.
  • Conduct client visits and follow-ups to guarantee client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Provide ongoing client support, information, and guidance, identifying new opportunities to increase profitability and service improvements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market activities, and competitors to identify potential product enhancements or new services.
  • Prepare regular reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Maintain high-quality service standards in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed of best practices by attending relevant educational workshops, networking, and benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Contribute to the team’s overall success by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Degree/Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related business field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably in the freight and logistics industry.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales is essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate the value proposition of freight services both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, identifying business opportunities, and tracking competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
  • Solid understanding of logistics and the freight industry to effectively market the company’s services.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms to support online sales campaigns.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills are an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and the ability to interpret sales metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
