Sales Officer

Roles/Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to grow the bank’s customer base.
  • Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and services, including loans, deposits, and investment solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new opportunities, and competitive positioning
  • Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients.
  • Evaluate clients’ financial needs and provide appropriate banking solutions.
  • Meet or exceed set business growth and revenue targets.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service and effective follow-up.
  • Monitor and manage client accounts to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Credit, Operations, Risk, etc.) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, pipeline activities, and market developments.

  • Continuously improve knowledge of financial products, market dynamics, and industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in business development, relationship management, or sales within the banking or financial sector
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business targets
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management principles
  • Understanding of banking products, lending, and financial solutions
  • Strong understanding of SME, retail, or corporate banking markets
  • Customer service excellence and problem-solving orientation
  • Team collaboration and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software
  • Strong problem-solving and evaluation skills
  • Strategic thinking and market analysis capability
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong business development and client relationship management skills
