Our Client is an International tech company with a growing footprint in Africa that provides financing solutions to Agribusinesses. They are seeking to hire a Regional Agency Sales Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the agency operations at a national level. They are responsible for driving sales, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a high-performance culture within the agency network. The regional Agency Manager oversees a team of team leaders and Agents, working towards achieving organizational goals and delivering exceptional service to clients.

Sales Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of regional sales agents to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the sales performance of agents, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to ensure agents are well- equipped to perform their roles effectively.

Team Training & Development Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with regional agents.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and the agents in the region.
  • Address agents’ concerns, resolve issues, and provide ongoing support.
  • Set performance targets and provide regular feedback and coaching to drive performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the agency network.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance agents’ sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Provide continuous learning opportunities and professional development to agents, ensuring they are up to date on industry trends and company products.

Sales Performance & Reporting:

  • Drive sales growth across all product lines and market segments.
  • Develop sales strategies and tactics to penetrate new markets and expand the client base.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective marketing campaigns and product offerings
  • Implement effective collection strategies for teams’ leaders and agents to minimize delinquencies and loan write-offs.

Market Expansion & Development:

  • Identify new opportunities for agent recruitment, ensuring the right mix of agents to cover the regional market effectively.
  • Assess regional market conditions, competitors, and customer needs to inform sales approaches.
  • Develop targeted promotional campaigns

Relationship Management

  • Work closely with marketing, Trade desk team, product, and customer service teams to ensure the availability of appropriate resources and support for agents.
  • Collaborate with senior management to refine sales strategies, market positioning, and new business initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Implement controls and procedures to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in sales management, with at least 2 years of experience managing agents or teams.
  • Experience in [industry-specific knowledge in insurance, Micro finance or bank sectors Prior experience in a field sales role is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, competitor landscape, and customer behaviors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to adjust strategies.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a track record of driving sales teams to success.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
