 Production Supervisor Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the production of glass cullet in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. This role oversees daily plant operations, ensuring that cullet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. The Production Supervisor leads a team of cullet production staff, coordinates maintenance activities, and drives continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.

Production Supervisor DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of glass cullet production, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished cullet to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure glass cullet meets required specifications and quality standards. Implement inspection and testing procedures to identify defects or issues.
  • Manage, train, and motivate cullet production staff to achieve performance goals and maintain a safe, productive working environment.
  • Handle employee relations, including attendance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor and coordinate maintenance and repairs for production equipment to minimize breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations according to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety training, inspections, and audits to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure team adherence to PPE usage and safe operation of equipment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Analyze cullet production data and develop strategies for continuous improvement in operations.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Must have diploma in related field
  • Minimum of 1-2years of experience in a similar role preferably manufacturing industry or pack house
  • Have basic computer skills i.e, Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and organization skills
