Procurement Lead Job Overview

The Procurement Lead will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition and delivery of high-quality products at cost-effective prices. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership
  • Develop and execute a robust procurement strategy that aligns with the Group’s business objectives.
  • Establish and manage a high-performing procurement team across multiple regions to standardize operations.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify procurement-related risks and implement mitigation strategies to enhance business continuity.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
  • Formulate and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and best practices across all business units.
  • Lead negotiations with key suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships to maximize cost savings and efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure contract compliance, timely deliveries, and service quality.
  • Uphold ethical procurement practices, mitigating risks related to fraud, corruption, and supply chain disruptions.
Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Monitor procurement expenditures to align with budgetary constraints and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Implement financial tracking mechanisms to ensure transparency in procurement spending.
Risk & Compliance Management
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Identify and address potential risks within the procurement process through strategic risk mitigation plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, logistics, and operations, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with regional and international suppliers to enhance competitive sourcing.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior management on procurement trends, cost-saving opportunities, and market dynamics.
Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Continuously assess and refine procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive digital transformation through e-procurement tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop key procurement metrics and dashboards for enhanced transparency and reporting.

Mandatory Requirements

Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • CISP/CPSP certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain interdependencies.
  • Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement management.
  • Extensive expertise in supplier development, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Proven track record in third-party management, cost-cutting initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
