We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in the plastic or paper packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting mechanical systems within our packaging operations. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is open to working in rotational shifts.
Mechanical Engineer Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment used in plastic or paper packaging lines.
- Optimize machine performance to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet operational goals.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain documentation related to maintenance and equipment performance.
- Provide technical support during audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in plastic or paper packaging industry.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and machine manuals.
- Flexible to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
