Maintenance Technician

Key Duties

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance on equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical) to prevent breakdowns and extend asset life.
  • Respond to repair requests: Promptly diagnose and repair problems reported by members or staff, which may involve various technical areas such as fixing structural damage, leaky taps, or broken electrical wiring.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems: Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex issues with building systems, machinery, and equipment efficiently.
  • Conduct general upkeep: Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and landscaping to maintain the club\’s high standard of appearance.
  • Maintain specialized facilities: Oversee the specific upkeep of club amenities, or repairing gym equipment, steam and Sauna, Showers etc.
  • Ensure safety compliance: Conduct safety audits and routine checks on safety equipment like fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and security systems to ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies: Be available (often oncall) to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, such as power outages or significant leaks, to protect members, staff, and club assets.
  • Coordinate with contractors: oversee external contractors or vendors to ensure the quality and compliance of their services provided.
  • Manage inventory: Monitor and maintain an inventory of necessary parts, tools, and supplies, and requisition new items as needed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
  • Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
  • Report any incident or matter that can pose as a threat or hazard to the Club.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and safe working condition
  • Report repairs and scheduled maintenance carried out on weekly and monthly basis to the Club Manager.
