Import & Export Coordinator

The ideal candidate must be a diligent professional with a strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in every aspect of the job. They should also have a deep understanding of the import/export processes specific to Kenya and East Africa.
Export Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all import and export activities in and out of Kenya, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and smooth logistics operations.
- Calculate and prepare landed cost estimates before importing any goods, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality.
- Monitor stock levels consistently and plan ahead to ensure timely procurement of materials, preventing stockouts and delays in operations.
- Work closely with the storekeepers to track and manage a wide range of inventory items (both small and large) across various categories.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers, compare prices, and source products to meet operational needs.
- Prepare and file purchase orders accordingly, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Input and update data into the ERP system to keep records accurate and up-to-date.
Export Coordinator Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Proven experience in import/export management
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping processes, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate and track landed costs.
- Experience in stock monitoring, planning, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for data entry and order managemen
