About Accounts Assistant Job Tugende
The Accounts Assistant will work under the supervision of the Senior Accountant and will be responsible for supporting the Accounts department with processing and preparing reports, recording transactions, and cost analysis while applying the finance/ accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Branch Accounting – Prepare profit and loss (P&L) report on branch financial performance showing branch spending versus money earned over specific periods to ascertain if it is profit-making or loss-making.
- Conducting cost analysis with a detailed breakdown of cost summary comparing actual costs over a given period, to close gaps and pick up areas of improvement.
- Fixed Asset Register – updating all acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation monthly.
- Invoice processing and filling accounts payable reconciliation.
- Ensuring payments, amounts, and records are correct.
- Monitoring daily communications and responding to any queries.
- Collaborate and work with the Audit team by providing information on unpaid accounts receivables as of the reporting period end under audit.
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA Part II certification (Section 4 completed) or ongoing
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a mid-sized organization
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence in working with IT systems, including databases
- Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in budget, finance, and contract administration
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs
- High attention to detail and ability to learn and apply organizational procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Swahili
