Key Responsibilities for Administrative Assistant
- Assist in material research and procuring of materials as needed, maintaining and updating material inventory, sourcing materials for various projects, etc.
- Communicate with Artist and team, when necessary, across different communication platforms and on different time zones (Email, Zoom, GChat, WhatsApp)
- Assist in shipping and receiving artworks/studio shipments/studio and personal mail (scheduling shipments
- The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Artist.
- Assist with building and studio maintenance (fire extinguishers, coordinate repairs as needed, coordinate cleaning of house spaces as needed, order building/house/ office supplies as needed).
- Personal assistance tasks including calendar, travel, running errands.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in project management, scheduling, personal assistance; ideally, experience in a creative field.
- Comfort to work in a small team environment, most often with minimum supervision, and with limited interactions with other team members and with the Director.
- Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, balance and prioritize multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously, and resolve conflicts.
- The ability to respond to changing deadlines and work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Cultural awareness – ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in the US, Europe, Kenya, and other African countries.
