Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maximize carbon credit sales revenue, across the scope of carbon credit sales and carbon services sales.
- Carbon Sales – monetize our carbon credits, by building a functional sales desk to service voluntary and compliance markets, both through direct and indirect channels
- Carbon Services – maximize BURN’s success in winning long-lead-time deals with strategic global partners, resulting in high-value, carbon services partnerships signed.
- Build an effective origination engine to maintain a full, high-conversion pipeline of leads.
- Service delivery and risk mitigation on closed deals, ensuring all obligations are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Build and refine processes, systems and team structure to support the successful and efficient achievement of both deal origination and account management across all three verticals.
- Define and own our sales pitch, tailoring each value proposition into an impactful offering that resonates with our ideal target audience for our suite of products and services.
- Identify key target audiences and ideal channels to reach them. Subsequently, drive the design and execution of effective campaigns and storytelling to meet our visibility and commercial objectives.
- Spearheaded communications and engagement, including tracking the effectiveness of different approaches to continuously refine our overall strategy.
- Team management. Lead the geographically dispersed carbon investment, carbon sales and carbon marketing teams in achieving their objectives. Streamline processes and systems to ensure the department functions optimally.
- Reporting/Forecasting. Produce regular analytical reports and ad-hoc research papers on key partnerships, business development updates, and market landscape, as well as monthly forecasting and reporting for distribution activities
- Synthesize market intelligence to inform strategic direction for carbon across the board
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of Senior-level Commercial experience in the carbon industry.
- Operational and strategic leadership experience
- Demonstrated success and achievements in new business development; proven record in identifying and onboarding new partnerships that helped a company achieve its strategic goals.
- Experience with Marketing, Communications, Branding etc is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team.
- Mature, highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and works independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple country offices and departments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
