Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tax computations and perform internal tax reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international tax requirements.
  • Assist during financial audits by providing necessary tax information, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the preparation and drafting of Transfer Pricing documentation in accordance with OECD and local regulations.
  • Follow and analyze proposed tax-related laws and regulatory changes, assessing their potential impact on the Group’s entities.
  • Monitor and summarize recent tax-related court cases, preparing insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver information required by group creditors, including tax-related data, financial ratios, and compliance confirmations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely submission.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams across multiple countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Latvia, and Lithuania) to ensure consistency and accuracy in tax and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of corporate income tax, VAT, and other indirect tax returns as required.
  • Support communication and coordination with external tax advisors and authorities.

What you will need:

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in tax or audit (experience in an international environment or Big 4 firm is an advantage).
  • Good understanding of direct and indirect taxation, including transfer pricing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including use of PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and other key functions for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable working with teams across different countries.
