Hospital Accountant | Job Description:

  • Reporting functionally to the Finance Manager and operationally to the Hospital Manager, this role is responsible for:
  • Accurate capture, allocation and completeness of ALL financial transactions in the ERP at the branch on a daily basis
  •  Management, control and accounting of petty cash
  • Daily computing and posting of doctor’s share (payments) and daily reconciliation of unit cash and cheque collection and posting banking transactions
  • Daily maintenance and monthly reconciliation of all ledgers
  • Ensuring finalization of outpatient and credit invoices and preparation and sign off on ALL journals for unit financial transactions, preparation of monthly reports and accounts. This role will also support unit management team with financial analysis and guidance on budget utilization and cost management.

Hospital Accountant | Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and or Accounting with professional qualification at diploma level either CPA-K or ACCA or equivalent and more than 3 years and up to 5 years relevant experience preferably in busy hospital environment is desirable.
