  • Penda Health is seeking a Public Affairs Officer to help us build trusted relationships with government, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders as we expand access to high-quality healthcare. This role is a unique blend of external engagement and operational support — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, structure, and service delivery.

What You’ll Do:

As a Public Affairs Officer, you will:

  • Support licensing processes for new medical centers and ensure timely submission of compliance documentation.
  • Engage with sub-county officials and represent Penda in local health forums and audits.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate NEMA and OSHA assessments, and support implementation of safety and environmental protocols.
  • Track and report on compliance issues, escalating risks to the Senior Manager where necessary.
  • Lead follow-up after inspections and ensure proper documentation and filing of regulatory licenses.
  • Collaborate in organizing community outreach initiatives, including health drives and public awareness events.
  • Maintain the Master Stakeholder tracker and ensure contacts and engagements are up to date.
  • Contribute to internal audits and safety reviews across facilities, working closely with QIT and branch teams.
  • Support stakeholder invitation and coordination during medical center launches and expansion activities.

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Are highly organized, a confident communicator, and a proactive problem-solver
  • Have experience working with health sector regulations and local government structures
  • Thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments
  • Are aligned with Penda’s mission to make high-quality healthcare accessible to all

Public Affairs Officer Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in a health-related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in public health, community health, or compliance
  • Strong understanding of health regulations and stakeholder engagement
