As the Regional Sales & Operations Manager you’ll be at the forefront of expanding Mukuru’s presence in East Africa. From driving transaction volumes to overseeing operations and ensuring compliance, this role is a perfect blend of strategy, leadership, and execution.
Regional Sales , Operations Manager Key Areas of Responsibility:
Sales & Growth Execution
- Drive transaction growth across branches, agents, and digital channels
- Own the front of funnel and customer retention strategy
- Expand our agent and partner network with on-ground activations and business development
- Roll out exciting territory-specific marketing activations and track ROI
- Deliver on revenue and growth targets across your region
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure operations meet regulatory and internal compliance standards
- Oversee branch/agent ops, cash handling, reconciliations, and SLAs
- Implement effective controls to reduce risk and loss
- Lead audits, compliance checks, and drive best practices
Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact
- Manage and mentor regional teams (Sales Leads, Agent Managers, Tellers, etc.)
- Foster a high-performance, KPI-driven culture
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Compliance teams
- Solve problems on the ground and lead continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification? Big bonus!
Experience:
- 6+ years in sales, operations, or business development
- 3+ years in a senior role (preferably in fintech, financial services, banking, or MNOs)
- Experience managing multi-country teams and regional projects.
