The charge of the EHAU is to help meet the immediate survival requirements and reduce suffering in conflict or disaster affected populations during the acute phase of an exigency, as well as enhancing the IRC’s exigency preparedness and readiness capacity. EHAU also works in prolonged extremities, where the threat to life may be reduced but the population is still subordinated to rights abuses and a lack of introductory services.

 The elderly Technical Advisor, Emergency Health will be responsible for the strategic and specialized delivery, quality and communication of exigency health work within the IRC; this includes primary( and some targeted secondary) health care( including child health, transmissible andnon-communicable conditions, motherly and invigorated care, internal health and psychosocial support), sexual & reproductive health and rights, environmental health( including marshland), nutrition, and preparedness and response. Importantly, this part will steer strategic direction, specialized resource development and overall leadership related to the IRC’s exigency primary healthcare( PHC), Nutrition and WASH( EH) programming. The STA will also prioritize operation and capacity development of the health exigency Response platoon( ERT), Emergency Surge Team( EST) and Global Surge Team( GST) through ongoing 1- 1 support, collective identification of areas and openings for professional development, and prompt reclamation of pivotal exigency health positions. 

This position reports to the IRC’s Senior Director for Quality in extremities in EHAU and the Deputy Director, Health in IRC’s Health Unit. The contestant will work nearly with the QiE leadership platoon, Health Unit deputy directors, Health Unit global and indigenous practice leads and specialized counsels, and other IRC sector focal points engaged in exigency response.

 exigency Response( 40) 

give solid specialized and strategic leadership for the inauguration and quality delivery of new classified extremities and outbreaks per the QiE specialized backing model.Provide response support, specialized leadership, and strategic direction to the health ERT.Ensure program quality, responsibility, and thickness in exigency & outbreak response programming by furnishing remote and on the ground specialized support for country program- led responses and ERT/ EST and GST during deployments.Directly supervise ERT & GST fellow, furnishing ongoing mentoring and specialized strengthening during and when not stationed for ERT.As needed, emplace to lead exigency health programming or outbreak response start- up in complex or large- scale extremities( 30 of time and outside 6 weeks for single deployment). This is inclusive of, but not limited to, liabilities similar aso Rapid needs assessments, evaluation sweats, or other responsibility support functions; o Short- term Deputy Direct of Programs( DDP) or exigency leadership places; o Specialized collaboration and strategic leadership within a complex response; give specialized collaboration and strategic leadership within a complex response; and insure a smooth transition of specialized backing for QiE Supported and EHAU- led responses to Health

 Liaise nearly with other applicable specialized counsels and support IRC WatchList countries and countries where the IRC is starting new exigency response programming.Champion a culture of effective and regardful hookups. Promote mate- led programming in line with IRC’s “ why not mate? ” and “ mate as equals ” approach.Work nearly with the deployment platoon to identify applicable exigency health staff to be stationed to support responses as needed.Ensure all exigency health response tools and coffers are current and available to response brigades.

 Work nearly with Health Unit and Regional Emergency Directors to identify areas of specialized capacity structure, functional and systems set up in preparedness for health extremities in Watchlist Countries.Support the exigency response capacity strengthening for members of IRC Country Programs/ Regional specialized counsels as needed.Provide remote and on the ground specialized and systems support to watchlist countries, classified country programs regions for preparedness/ readiness/ contingency planning, and as demanded, emplace for strategic support, including on- point mentoring and specialized assistance.Reinforce program quality through regular(/- remote) capacity strengthening and chops heightening for members of the ERT, EST as well as Technical Unit Advisers, icing the capability to operationalize the IRC’s exigency strategy and response package.Ensure that IRC program models and exigency strategies advance organizational commitments to gender equivalency outcomes.Collaborate with the EHAU to maintain deployment capacity on the ERT and GST.Lead design and development of intertwined/ common program models and approaches in extremities with applicable STAs for extremities within the QiEmulti-sector team.Manage and maintain current exigency response tools and modernize them according to assiduity norms and stylish practices while also supporting iterative and adaptive literacy from ongoing responses.
