About the Role

TC4A Africa is seeking a dedicated Grant Writer Officer to join our team in Nairobi,Kenya, supporting our African operations. This role involves multiple aspects of the proposal development process, from research and writing to managing timelines and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities


Support all aspects of proposal development, including technical narratives, M&E sections, budgets, budget narratives, and required annexes.

Research and develop a diverse grants portfolio, targeting both solicited and unsolicited opportunities.

Support the full grant cycle, including solicitation, proposal writing, implementation,monitoring, compliance, reporting, and close-out.

Manage timelines and ensure the on-time completion and submission of high-quality application packages.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

Keep leadership informed of any potential challenges and actively propose solutions to mitigate risks.

Skills and Experience

 

At least five (5) years of experience in grant writing and reporting. Writing in health sector, working with startups are added advantages.

Bachelor’s degree in health, development or any other relevant field. Master’s degree an advantage but not mandatory

Proven ability to think strategically, work with diverse teams, and operate independently in multicultural settings.

Demonstrated success in securing both solicited and unsolicited grants from a variety of organizations.

Strong project management, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Proficient in M&E frameworks and tracking deliverables.

Experience in developing and monitoring budgets.

Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is compulsory as is more than average typing speed.

Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in French as added advantage.
