Senior Finance Officer at Tech Care for All Africa - TC4A Jobs in Kenya
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Finance Officer to join our growing team. This role will be pivotal in managing and overseeing financial operations across our multiple offices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and strategy, coupled with a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of African markets.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and financial risk management.
- Lead financial planning and analysis efforts to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Coordinate audits and ensure timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Professional finance qualification (e.g., CPA) preferred.
- Proven experience (at least 2 years) in a senior finance role, preferably within a rapidly growing startup environment.
- Strong understanding of African financial markets, regulatory requirements, and taxation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking ability.
- Proficiency in financial management software including Quick Books and advanced Excel skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
- Knowledge of donor funding mechanisms and grant management.
