 Position Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Manager to lead our chemicals sales operations in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 10 years in chemicals sales, with a strong understanding of the regional market dynamics. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive sales growth, manage key accounts, and lead a team to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve regional sales targets and expand market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the chemicals industry.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to ensure individual and team goals are met.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

Key Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the chemicals industry.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Handle negotiations, contracts, and pricing agreements with major accounts.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the sales operations and ensure efficient processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify and explore new markets and segments to drive business growth.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's products and services.Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and customer engagement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemicals sales, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the region as required

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the chemicals industry, including market trends, products, and competitors.
