Job Description 

  • To ensure that all Incoming materials, Intermediates and Manufactured Products released for sale by the Company conform to standard specifications.
  • Carry out Quality Pillar deployment in accordance with the Global Quality Pillar Journey map.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Inspection and Analysis of incoming raw & packaging materials and recommend appropriate disposal method. Prepare monthly Quality report and communicate to suppliers’ cases of product failures in accordance with Regional Quality Engineering Manager.
  • The job holder carries in-process checks to ensure standard procedures are adhered to and has the authority to stop the process from continuing in-case of deviation; and recommend rework methods to address quality failures. As part of In-process checks, the job holder also carries periodic process and machine capabilities and give appropriate recommendations as necessary in agreement with PM and SDW stake holders.
  • Owner of root cause analysis in case of nonconforming batches to be submitted to Quality Lead for further action (i.e. scrap of waiver approved per global procedure). In case of product already released, submit to Quality lead for Product incident Management to be followed in agreement with Regional Quality Director
  • Calibration - ensures that machines and equipment/instruments used in production processes for Quality purposes are calibrated through carrying internal and third-party calibrations.
  • Prepare Quality Performance Report and based on outcome of the report recommends improvements.
  • Visit Suppliers to analyze major quality failures of raw and packaging materials, recommend possible solutions, hence strengthening the relationship with our suppliers for mutual benefit to both parties in agreement with Regional Quality Engineering Manager.
  • Support and implement Integrated management systems initiatives in the department.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Diploma in Analytical/Applied Chemistry from a recognized institution
  • Good knowledge in using Gas chromatograph (GC) and interpreting analysis results
  • Computer literate
  • 3 years’ experience
  • Must work with minimum supervision and be ready to work on shift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
