Job Description 

 Dynamics of the Role

  • We are looking for a dynamic individual and industry professional that will serve as a Product Consultant for our insights and information solutions and services. This role requires that you leverage your proven expertise as a subject matter expert in risk management and analytics to support sales activities by providing industry expertise, product knowledge and process mapping capabilities to increase win rates, deal size and ongoing value of customer relationships to TransUnion. Through your expertise you will understand client’s business issues and opportunities and drive revenue growth by developing and implementing, together with the client, innovative and effective solutions that deliver client value, and that assist to secure and entrench TransUnion’s brand within our clients. You will bring your creative energy to a team that values innovative thinking and use your skills to drive our business forward.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • As an expert in credit risk management and analytics across the credit lifecycle you will develop competitive business solutions to address identified CBI’s, you will work with the sales team and clients to implement true value adding solutions.
  • Work with the CoE to evolve and adapt overall product line strategies for Core Credit across industries. Communicate innovative product ideas to the CoE and work together to develop business cases to support regional growth aspirations
  • Deliver monthly forecasting reports and dashboards that provide clarity and transparency across product, sales, analytics & IT to monitor product adoption and GTM execution.
  • Ensure the successful roll out and adoption of International CoE’s by serving as local ambassador for the Africa region and as a primary link between the African region and the CoE.
  • Actively support the sales team by providing expertise and consultative services to uncover new opportunities and to design and present solutions, develop business cases, and establish proof points as well as ROI to clients. Creating compelling value propositions for our clients you will ultimately increase our win rate and develop annuity revenue streams for TUA.
  • Use strong analytical and relationship skills to identify opportunities for creative and innovative solutions.
  • Generate and present industry and client insights and thought leadership
  • Work collaboratively with product and sales teams on go-to-market strategy and execution and the development of new solution ideas.
  • As SME liaise with the analytics and modelling team to do proactive analytics and tests as well as manage client solutions.
  • Focus on the customer first and assemble solutions to meet their specific needs vs. focusing or over-emphasizing a specific product or service; help customers understand and communicate their needs and deliver solutions to address those needs.
  • Accurately capture and communicate scope of client solutions to be developed / delivered.
  • Position products & solutions that are aligned to our strategy and our capability set to deliver; sell solutions that are good for our customers and good for TransUnion (profitability).
  • Serve as the “customer advocate” or “proxy” during the early stages of the solution design (IT) stage.
  • Achieve NPI plans and increase penetration of complex solutions.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Tertiary Education with concentration in, finances and statistics in the financial sector.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in credit, financial services risk management preferably in the client’s context.
  • Proven experience in consulting, developing and implementing client solutions.
  • Must be well organized with excellent analytical and negotiating skills, combined with superior oral and written communication skills, with a temperament to aggressively represent, persuade others and negotiate in the best interests of the company.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying due dates and requirements.
