Senior Product Manager (UI/UX)


Job Description

Key accountabilities

Design Strategy 40%

  • Manage feature and design development end-to-end and manage the product roadmap. Become deeply oriented around the business collaboration and customer feedback cycles enabling idea generation, synthesis, vision and delivery.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to Business Analysts, Product Analysts, Engineers and ensure everyone is aligned.
  • Lead continuous usability tests and research to effectively synthesize user feedback to deliver insights that inform product development.
  • Work closely with contracted partners to provide direction on UI designs, illustration requests, while also providing basic UI when required.
  • Define project timelines and deliverables for design initiatives while reporting on statuses as it is executed.
  • Translate product concepts into mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. Review user stories within a given design sprint to ensure objectives, goals and requirements are clear.
  • Use storytelling to communicate high-level concepts and research insights in presentations, reports, and workshops.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Collaborate with other Managers in Customer Management, Operations, Portfolio Management, Data science and Engineers in cross-area features to build products.
  • Drive teams to acquire necessary data in order to back assumptions, show value, and drive prioritization.

Product Development 40%

  • Design the unit’s product management architecture and ensure its execution across all delivery actors.
  • Define best practices product management processes which includes Product vision, product strategy formulation, roadmap development.
  • Link between commercial and technology teams to ensure to ensure optimal build for commercial value & alignment to GTM strategies.
  • Assure effective governance of the unit’s practices in line with the Group policies and service standards.
  • Craft and build the solutions for scale and distribution via digital and alternative channels.
  • Uphold operational excellence to meet the Audit and Enterprise risk framework of the Group.

People Management 20%

  • Build and grow high capability product teams, demonstrate success in hiring, coaching, developing, and enabling a team of product managers in a B2C, B2B business and ecosystems.
  • Leading a team of product managers, Designers, working and collaborating with tech, vendors, partners, commercial, financial, legal compliance, marketing, and finance teams to ensure the solutions meet the criteria.

Preferred Education

  • University Graduate

Preferred Experience

  • At least 8 years’ work experience, 3 of which should have been in a similar capacity with a proven track record.
  • 5 years of Product Management experience (i.e. creating strategic product roadmap(s) from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams).
  • Experience driving the product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, In-depth understanding of the various mobile banking platforms
  • In-depth understanding of Financial Technology (Fintech).
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of competitor and local market activity.

Technical Competencies

  • Product Discovery, Solid Grasp of UCD (User Centered Design) Concepts, Planning and User Research and deriving key insights and patterns Adept at qualitative customer interviewing, heuristic techniques, and A/B testing. Familiar with the product lifecycle and prioritization frameworks like QFD(Quality Function Deployment), MoSCoW, Lean and RICE to organize opportunity backlogs. Capable of deriving key insights and patterns from data and customer interviews and using that input to clarify problem statements. Proficient at story mapping, to break epics down into smaller product releases. Proficient at collaborating with other teams on prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.
  • Product Build, Deep expertise in design processes, including design thinking, lean UX and agile methodologies. Able to make highly informed prioritization & trade-off decisions with business and engineering. Experience in designing complex solutions for complete digital environments. Excellent at breaking epics and issues down into CVPs. Deep familiarity with Digital Business digital products and the relevant product domain(s). Deep understanding of digital financial products, design systems, and technology architecture, APIs, and tech stack. Excellent customer journey mapping, user experience, mock-up skills with domain expertise in material design and Cupertino design standards. Excellent use case development skills. Able to elevate performance of the Group through excellent PM outputs.
  • Business Skills, Able to ensure activities are consistent product business models. Can balance build, buy and partner options for solving customer problems. Can identify new market opportunities & author business cases, as well as forecast the approximate benefits of new features.
  • Communication Skills, Solid presentation skills at all levels of the company. Appropriately influences & persuade others to a course of action.
  • People Management Skills, Aligns team with larger Digital Business product vision and goals. Able to translate and align strategy in a meaningful way for team, building a shared understanding of team goals and targets. Uses situational leadership techniques to provide appropriate level of guidance and latitude to team members.
