Summary

As the Quality Control Manager Manager, you will develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies and procedures, oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality control program, including inspections, tests, and audits, conduct regular internal and external quality control audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures among other duties.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a system for monitoring and evaluating quality control data, and report findings to senior management.
  • Identify and investigate quality control issues and recommend solutions to improve the quality of products, services, and processes.
  • Work closely with the production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that quality control considerations are integrated into the design, development, and production processes.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices.

Specific Roles And Responsibilities

  • Inspect all the incoming raw materials. Accept those that pass relevant specifications and reject those that fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department at the earliest.
  • Resolve quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines.
  • Ensure that all projects undertaken by the company meet relevant quality standards and specifications.
  • Provide training to the quality assurance team.
  • Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records.
  • Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product.
  • Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment.
  • Make sure that processes adhere to quality standards and specifications.
  •  Assist in drawing up action plans to attain objectives and effectively implement the formulated corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work with production to reduce production defects through implementation of controls.
  • The role entails flexibility, as you will be stationed at our plant in Kabati, Muranga County.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • An engineering degree for a recognized university.
  • Technical Diploma or Technical University Degree as an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Control and assurance
  • 5+ years of experience working with quality systems and Testing certification-RT, UT, MPT Level 1 added advantage. NDT level 2 and above
  • Be excellent in statistical process control methods and Analytical skills in production process in oil & gas industry or related.
  • Work independently and detailed with high integrity on data protection.
  • Knowledge in ISO Management systems and Six Sigma/Kaizen knowledge added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Occupational safety is an added advantage.
  • TQM, Lean production and quality tools will be an added advantage.
