  • Job Summary:

    • We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Intern to join our team and assist with financial reconciliation tasks. This internship offers hands-on experience in managing and analyzing financial data, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting our Finance Department's daily operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Bank Reconciliation:

    • Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements with company financial records.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank records and the general ledger.

    Account Reconciliation:

    • Perform monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
    • Ensure that all reconciling items are investigated and resolved promptly.

    Transaction Analysis:

    • Review and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist in the investigation of any unusual or suspicious transactions.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and organized reconciliation documentation.
    • Prepare reconciliation reports and summaries for review by senior finance staff.

    Support Financial Audits:

    • Assist in the preparation of documentation required for internal and external audits.
    • Provide support during audit processes, ensuring that all requested information is available.

    Data Entry and Maintenance:

    • Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records in accounting software.
    • Ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

    Process Improvement:⁰p

    • Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Assist in the implementation of new reconciliation tools or software.

    General Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to the Finance Department as needed.
    • Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
