Job Description

CBRE Excellerate Facilities Management is a leading global provider of integrated facilities
and corporate real estate management. The Facility Engineer will responsible and oversee hard and soft services in multiple location and ensure that the Service Level Agreements are managed & technical services executed in a way to maximize the value added to the maintenance of their allocated buildings.

Core Duties:


  1. Manage the maintenance service offered by consultants/contractors to ensure the best interests of the client are met.
  2. Ensure that statutory requirements of QHSE and local authority regulations are met as per Service Level Agreement.
  3. Provide input into yearly maintenance budgets, ensure expenditure is adhered to and ensure that all over expenditures are approved.
  4. Support any projects undertaken by client.
  5. Implement, maintain, and ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance alongside reactive repairs are carried out in all location.

Key Areas of responsibility:


  • Be responsible for Hard Services such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Works, Carpentry, Painting, Wood Polishing, Refurbishments BMS Operations, Automatic Doors, UPS, Gate Barriers and Diesel Generators.
  • Manage Soft Services such as General Cleaning, Façade Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Landscape, Waste Management, Procurement, and Business Center.
  • Evaluates technical solutions offered by consultants or contractors to ensure best interests of the client are met.
  • Drawing up of the annual repairs and maintenance budget in collaboration with the Facility team.
  • Correspond with & manage technical services stakeholders – client, contractors, staff.
  • Assist with disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, testing, and installing electrical motors, electromechanical devices, controls, contacts, switches, and other electrical equipment.
  • Ensure that complaints are followed up and attended to timeously by accepting all work orders, give direction to the team, request needed approvals from the client and other administrative matters related to the contract.
  • Support with troubleshooting and maintenance of the Diesel Generating Sets (DGU)
  • Ensure that repairs and maintenance budgets are adhered to and that all proposed over expenditures are approved.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with safety legislation and contract obligations.
  • Ensure that energy and utilities are used in the most economical way and wastage is minimized.
  • Ensure adequate supervision for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC related repairs and maintenance in all sites.
  • Ensure that Annual Building inspections are performed as applicable to all sites.
  • Attend technical meetings.

Qualifications:


Essential

  • BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Certified and practicing mechanical/electrical Engineer
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity

Skills required:

  • Computer literacy (Email, Spreadsheets, & system related reporting)
  • English speaking, and ability to read and write in English.
  • Communication excellence (Internal & External)
  • Knowledge of building maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Civil)
  • Proficient knowledge of QHSE (Quality Health & Safety Environment) implementation.
