Summary
The incumbent will be in charge of management of the company’s sales operations: from demand creation, sales forecasting, distribution channel management and debt collection. As a key player in the management team, the post holder will take up significant responsibility in a fast-growing company with a focus on Renewable Energy Technologies (RETS). The post holder reports directly to the CEO
Duties and responsibilities:
- Put in place sales and marketing strategies that are aligned to overall organizational plans, objectives and deliverables.
- Lead the development and implementation of the annual sales and marketing plans
- Take overall responsibility for the urban, peri- urban and rural markets and retail networks
- Accomplish sales objectives by liaising with relevant internal teams such as finance and IT, supply chain, Sales and marketing officers to plan, develop, implement and evaluate sales action plans.
- Build and maintain effective and fruitful relationships/rapport with clients which will include making periodic market visits, negotiations and trade promotions.
- Prepare regular and adhoc reports on sales and marketing activities.
- Review sales performance weekly and initiate appropriate action steps to deliver the set targets
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve excellent customer relationships and business results
- Events planning & Co-ordination, execution and tracking sales thereof.
- Conduct marketing research to determine market requirements for existing and future products.
- Liaison with the media and service providers for marketing and publicity purposes and ensures the brand image of the business is maintained at all times.
- Oversee all market research activities and competitor analysis to identify patterns, market demand and requirements and ensure that the company aligns its activities and projects to the market.
- Identify market opportunities by evaluating customer requirements; defining Scode
- Ltd market share and develop strategies to increase market share
- Use trending media platforms such as web and social marketing media & other electronic marketing techniques to inform customers of new products and generate sales.
- Development of marketing activities in order to grow Scode ltd brand equity to achieve long-term sustainable and profitable growth, via Consumer Communication,
- Promotions & events and innovation.
- Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders on all matters related to
- Marketing and Sales.
- Coach and develop key talent within sales organization
- Follow up on debts that may accrue in your business of making sales, ensuring the same is done in accordance to Scode Ltd credit policy
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the CEO or his/her assignee.
- Education and work Experience
- Minimum University degree in any relevant field Marketing, Business
- A minimum of 3 years senior sales experience gained in a mid-size to large organization with high professional and ethical standards
- Particular strong experience in selling RETs
- Experience of managing and leading sales teams across different product/service functions
- Proven team-building and leadership skills (i.e. situational leadership)
- Proven Experience in distribution of Last Mile Solutions
- Proficient use of computer software such as word, excel, outlook, access, internet, dropbox etc
